Banting and Best Bulletin Oct. 16-20 | Clothing, Traffic Safety, Pedestrian Safety, Remembrance Day,
Hello families,
What beautiful seasonal changes we are experiencing right now! I wonder how many signs of changes our students can spot?
With the changing weather, we want to remind families of a few key points;
- Clothing: Please send students dressed for the changing and often unpredictable weather. Students head outside in all types of weather. If your child needs a coat, hat, mittens, etc., please speak with their teacher or contact the office and we will try to provide what they need.
- Traffic safety: Thank you to our families who practice traffic safety when driving slowly through our school site and parking in designated areas. The area directly in front of the school is reserved for our school bus. A big thank you to our families that advocated for the beautiful curb sections and the City of Calgary for their installation. The art is bright and makes these curbs easy to see, adding to student safety.
- Pedestrian safety: Thank you for walking safely along the sidewalk and using our field to walk to and from school. We have clearly marked crosswalks for everyone’s safety.
Grade 2/3 Entry/Dismissal Update
- Entry – we will be continuing with entering at “Door 2”
- Dismissal (end-of-day)
- Shu and Proctor will exit at “Door 2”
- White and Mitchell will exit at “Door 3” – tucked behind the portables
Note: there is no change for Kindergarten or Grade 1 entry/exit procedures.
Remembrance Day
- We will be having a Remembrance Day assembly, open to the public, on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:40am. We would love for you to attend!
- Do you play the bugle/trumpet and would like to play our Last Post and Reveille? Or have you served and would like to share a short story or words of encouragement? If you would like to be involved in our assembly, please email Heather Seymour at hgseymour@cbe.ab.ca as soon as possible so we can include you.
