Parent-Teacher Conferences 

The relationship between families and the school are critical to maximizing the success of each student. We look forward to learning more about each of our students at the first Parent-Teacher Conferences of the year. Please sign on to MyCBE to book an appointment time. If you have any challenges with this, please contact your child’s teacher or the main office. 

Kindergarten ONLY 

  • Monday, Sept. 22 from 3:00 - 4:00pm 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 3:00 - 4:00pm 
  • Thursday, Sept 25 3:00 - 4:00pm 
  • Friday Sept. 26th from 8:00am - 2:45pm 

Grade 1-3 ONLY

  • Monday September 29th- 8:00 am –7:00 pm 


Photo Day 

Get your smiles ready, it’s photo time! On Tuesday, Sept 23rd we will have both individual and class photos taken. It is important for all students to attend, as class photos cannot be retaken at a later date. If your child is absent, individual pictures can be taken on retake day.  

Orange Shirt Day 

On Thursday, September 25, we encourage students to wear an Orange Shirt to show their support of Truth and Reconciliation. At school we will be building awareness of the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools on Indigenous communities and advancing the journey towards reconciliation.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Event 

 All CBE staff, students, families, and friends are invited to continue their learning and show their support on Tuesday, Sept. 30 (9 - 10:30 a.m.) at the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day event taking place at the Confluence Historic Site. This important event is a collaboration between the City of Calgary, CBE, Calgary Catholic School District, Calgary Police Service and Calgary Fire Department.

Municipal Election 2025 

The Municipal Election will take place Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. Banting and Best School has been selected as a voting station. As this is a non-instructional day, students are not at school and therefor there will be no impact on students.
