Hello families,

Family Game Night

Thank you to all our families who were able to join us for our first ever Family Games Night and what a success it was. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing such high-level engagement, learning and fun. Games such as board games, strategy games, bingo, etc help build a variety of skills like working memory, flexible thinking and inhibitory control just to name a few. Learning that feels like entertainment is always a great idea!

Halloween at School

We enjoy having opportunities for students to show their creativity and personalities. Our students are invited to dress up for Halloween on October 30th. We will have a costume parade for our students that morning. Participation is optional.

A few details:

  • Costumes cannot have a mask or cover the student’s face
  • Costumes are to be worn to school to avoid students having to dress themselves at school
  • No gore or weapons
  • Students must be able to move and sit in their costumes
  • Please keep candy at home. We want to keep our school free from possible allergens.
  • Have fun!

Literacy and Numeracy Screeners

Over the last several years, the government of Alberta has required students to participate in assessments to determine several baselines in both literacy and numeracy achievement. These screeners address important and specific outcomes that are part of a much larger learner profile. This year, these individual results will be sent home to families on Monday, October 26, 2026. If you have questions about your child’s achievement, please contact your child’s teacher.
