Hello families,

Family Games Night

We are excited to be hosting our first ever Family Games Night, an
opportunity to come together, spend time as a family, and discover fun,
easy-to-learn games that you can enjoy at home.

Our evening will feature a variety of games for the whole family to enjoy,
including:

* Card Games
•• Dice Games
© Board Games
& Bingo
And MORE!

Whether you are learning a new game or playing an old favourite, there
will be something for everyone! One of the goals of our evening is to help
families discover simple games that can easily become part of your
family's routine at home. Games are a wonderful way to build connections,
practise important skills, and make lasting memories together.

Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Location: Banting and Best School Gym & Learning Commons
Time: 5:30pm - 7:00pm

We can't wait to see our B&B families there for an evening of learning,
laughter, and FUN!

School Council Needs You

We have an amazing group of parents/guardians who meet once a month to support our school. They are looking for others to join in this incredible work.

School Council learns about happenings at our school, provides ideas and supports that are critical to the experience we provide for our students.

You are welcome to join in for any meetings or all of them. At this particular time, all other executive positions are filled but we are looking for a parent who would like to chair the meetings and prepare our agendas. If this sounds like you, please contact us at the school or join in on our next meeting!

Fun Lunch Launch

School Council hosts Fun Lunch several times throughout the year. It is an optional opportunity for students to have a warm lunch delivered to the school and for parents/guardians to get a break from making lunches. You can purchase one lunch, or purchase them all. Proceeds go to our School Fundraising committee to fund a variety of things that directly benefit our students.

Please sign up at healthyhunger.ca to create an account and enter your selections and payment. Orders are due 5 business days prior the lunch date. The first lunch will be CocoBrooks on October 28, 2026.

Halloween at School

We enjoy having opportunities for students to show their creativity and personalities. Our students are invited to dress up for Halloween on October 30th. We will have a costume parade for our students that morning. Participation is optional.

A few details:

  • Costumes cannot have a mask or cover the student’s face
  • Costumes are to be worn to school to avoid students having to dress themselves at school
  • No gore or weapons
  • Students must be able to move and sit in their costumes
  • Please keep candy at home. We want to keep our school free from possible allergens.
  • Have fun!
