B&B Bulletin May 5-9

Hello families,

Bike Repair Day

We are excited to be again having the Bike Repair day generously provided by the Calgary Rotary Club. Bikes can be dropped off to the gym in the morning at entry and like magic, they will be repaired and maintained to be ready for spring/summer rides.  Bikes should be completed by lunch time but definitely by end of day for pick up. There is no charge for this tune up😊

Hats on for Mental Health

On Wednesday, May 7th, students and staff are encouraged to wear a hat in recognition of Mental Health. Whether it is a ball cap, Stetson, goofy hat, toque or whatever you have, the idea is to raise awareness of ways to support a healthy mind and understanding the importance of mental health and its challenges, in all of our lives. Hats On!

Bear Witness Day

Students are invited to bring a small stuffed animal bear to school to acknowledge Bear Witness Day in support of Jordan's Principle. More information can be found at https://fncaringsociety.com/bear-witness-day#:~:text=Bear%20Witness%20Day%20is%20celebrated,the%20Canadian%20Human%20Rights%20Tribunal

We will have extra bears for anyone who needs one in alignment with the concept of Jordan's Principle...those in need get what they need. If a child needs a bear to keep they can, if they borrow one for the day and don't need one, that's great too. By identifying needs and working together to get support where it needs to go, we all benefit.
