Teacher Appreciation Day
Grade 3 Conservation Champions Zoo Field Trip
- We are excited to support our Grade 3’s in their presentation of their ‘Adopt a Penguin’ fundraising and awareness campaign for Rockhopper conservation. They will be attending the Champions event along with other schools who have taken up Conservation projects in a variety of ways. Thanks to everyone who was able to support this initiative.
Wednesday, May 6
Hats On For Mental Health
- We encourage students to wear a hat this Wednesday in recognition of Mental Health. Just like having a healthy body, there are actions we can take to keep our minds healthy too. Spend time with family and friends, talk to someone if you need help, learn about your emotions and learn ways to work through challenges, are just a few.
- Your hat can be silly, homemade or your everyday hat such as a ball cap or toque. You choose:)
Friday, May 8
Bear Witness Day
- Each year Banting and Best acknowledges the important learning behind Bear
Witness Day, specifically around Jordan’s Principle and how individuals need different things at different times. - We encourage students to bring a small stuffed bear to school on Friday in recognition of this day. If students do not have one or forget theirs, the school will provide one. Our goal is for no student to go without.
Upcoming:
- May 14- Next Free Popcorn day for all students
- This event is provided through the Nutrition grant our school received earlier this year.
