Hello families,

Canada Day in May 

We love to celebrate our nation! As we are not in school on the official day (July 1), we have created our own day of recognition. On May 22nd, students are invited to wear RED and WHITE. To make our day as authentic as possible, we will be offering students a Canadian symbol to be painted on their face. The paint is non-toxic and washable. If you would not like your child to participate in this part, please contact their teacher. We will also be having a school-wide trivia game, outdoor picnic and the singing of O’Canada before our Staff vs. Grade 3 kickball game. Good luck to both teams! 

Bussing Registration 

Registration to ride the bus for the 2026-2027 School year has opened. If you plan to send your child to school on the bus, please register before June 14th so that your address can be considered in the placement of next year's stops. If you are not yet sure, please register as you can always cancel for no charge if you decide not to use the service. Forest of Reading Celebrations 

We have had the most amazing learning opportunities this year connected to the Forest of Reading Program. A book set for grade 1-2 and one for grade 3 were purchased to highlight Canadian Authors and excellent literature. Our classes spent time reading the books and choosing their favourites. We even had 3 students selected to read for the national campaign! Each Banting and Best School student had a ballet to vote for their preferred choice along with other students across Canada!
