Labour Action Update 

CUPE Local 40 has returned to schools after a resolution to contract negotiations. Thank you to everyone for their patience.  

Youth Singers Residency 

The excitement continues! Thank you to School Council for supporting our school in hosting the Youth Singers Residency. All students will have multiple learning opportunities throughout the week of April 11,  with a concert on April 10, 2025 @6pm in the gym. Thank you for your patience in this late announcement, we were waiting to confirm. Now that the CUPE Local labour action has been resolved we are again able to host family events at the school.  

All students will be performing and families are welcome to join us for this wonderful show.  

Family STEAM Night  

We are excited to also be confirming Family STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Night is moving ahead as originally planned. We will have a variety of exciting learning stations to explore science and creativity. We hope to see all our students and families at the school that evening, April 17, 2025. 

Vaping and Youth Family Information Session 

The Community Health Promotion Services team with Recovery Alberta is offering a 3 Part series started this week, Tuesday, March 18 for families. This three-part presentation by the Community Health Promotion Services Team (CHPS) addresses important issues affecting youth today. The next session is Wednesday, April 9, focused on Vaping and Youth. Please see details below. 

This session covers the rising concern of vaping among youth, providing insights into devices, substances, and strategies for effective conversations.
