Hello families,

Managing Challenging Behaviours Parent Session

We have been thrilled to host the YW Family Resource Network at our school. These parent/guardian sessions are both informative and supportive. While each session builds on the last, you can attend at any time, even if you weren't able to join the previous sessions. The last session of the school year is June 18th and it would be wonderful to see many parents. We will have the YW team present as well as some time with an Art Therapist who will lead us through some wellness activities. The YW team will be available throughout to listen to your stories and answer questions. Hope to see you there for some relaxation, information and connection with other families. Child care is provided on-site.

Follow-Up Family Travel Survey

We have been engaged in many school and community improvement opportunities with Ever Active Schools this year. Adjustments such as roadway and crosswalk adjustments, active transportation barrier assessments, student learning opportunities and more.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey linked below to help us assess our progress.

Letter from the City of Calgary

Good afternoon,

We're reaching out to provide you with an update regarding the upcoming construction along 18 St S.E., where planned road maintenance is set to take place from 21 St S.E. to 66 Ave S.E.

North Star Contracting is scheduled to begin concrete replacement, milling, and paving activities on 18 St S.E. starting May 30, with completion in late June, pending favorable weather conditions.  During construction, crews will be working during nighttime hours, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Sunday, to ensure timely completion.

As work progresses, we anticipate several impacts on the nearby community, including construction noise and vibrations, daytime and overnight lane closures with advance signage, temporary relocation of transit stops, and pedestrian accommodations on-site to maintain local access. Parking in the area will also be affected by construction. We ask residents to adhere to closures and signage on-site to avoid towing.

We are also committed to providing regular project updates, including anticipated start and end timelines online at calgary.ca/paving, to keep you and the community informed about our progress and any schedule changes.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about the project. We appreciate your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,
