Hello families,

It is truly difficult to believe that this year is coming to a close. So many amazing things and events have happened this year, and oh the learning! Each and every student has grown and developed and we are so proud of their achievement.  

Thank you to our families for supporting our learning community in endless ways. Everything from preparing your child for the school day to volunteering to joining in on family events. We could not do this without you. Have a wonderful summer! 

Also, gratitude to our staff. Each member of our team has worked endlessly to create an environment for learning that truly is the best. Our staff work together to maintain a positive space where everyone develops a sense of belonging. Each staff member is an educator of students and supports growth and learning. We are looking forward to seeing all of our students in the fall! 

Welcome 

We are thrilled to announce that Megan MacDonald will be back on our team next year! We would also like to extend a warm Banting and Best School family welcome to Suzanne Smith, who will join us as Learning Leader next year. 

Wrap Up 

We continue to do important learning even in this last week of the school year. We look forward to seeing all of our students right up to the last minute on Thursday when we have early dismissal at 12:30 pm.  

Please view your child's report card later this week using MyCBE. We are available on Thursday afternoon if you have any questions or difficulty viewing the document. No printed copy will be sent home. You can choose to print a copy from your MyCBE account.

Welcome Back Open House 

All students and families are welcome to join us on August 28^th, 2024 @1:00-2:00 pm for our Banting and Best School Open House. This is an opportunity for all students to see their new classroom, meet their teacher and for new students to take a look around.  

Note about construction project... 

Dear parents/guardians, 
 
We would like to provide an update to you before summer break on the relocation of two modular units from Banting and Best School. We anticipate that the work to remove the modulars from Banting and Best School will begin in October. Safety measures will be taken to ensure the safety of students and community members who use the playground or school site while the installation occurs. This includes enclosing the construction area, scheduling work to avoid disrupting learning and operating within specific hours according to municipal bylaws. At this time, we anticipate that all work will be completed before winter break.
