Happy 2025!!! 

 

We are excited to be welcoming back our students to school in the new calendar year. We hope that you all had an enjoyable break full of time with family, friends and fun! 

 

Our calendar of events is empty this week so that we can focus on getting back into our routines and learning experiences. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @bantingandbestschool for school wide learning, events and reminders.  

 

Communication is also sent out through classroom communication and the weekly Banting and Best Bulletin report. The B&B Bulletin along with other important updates from the CBE, can be found on our website, https://bantingandbest.cbe.ab.ca  

 

Reminders: 

  • Please arrive at school between 8:00 - 8:10 am. The external doors close promptly at 8:10am as this is when classroom instruction begins. When students arrive late they miss out on valuable instructions and learning time. Late arrivals also impact the office and the classroom teachers, as well as the flow of learning for all students. While certainly there are times that arriving late cannot be avoided, we greatly appreciate on time arrivals as it ensures a smooth, safe start to the day.  
  • We head outside daily for recess and often for outdoor learning activities. Please ensure your child has all the clothing items needed for possible weather changes as we only stay indoors during extreme weather such as temperatures below –20C. Please let the office or your child's teacher know if your child requires clothing. We have a number of items available so that all students can be safe and warm. 
  • Report cards will be available later this month. In order to view them, please ensure you can successfully sign-on to MyCBE. Paper copies of report cards are no longer sent home. If you would like a paper copy, you can print one from MyCBE. Please contact the office if you require support with your account.

  • January 31 – Non-instructional Day  
    • No school for students
