Hello families,

Painting Update

Due to flooding at another school, our painting schedule and process has been adjusted.

• We now will have the CBE crew assigned who works during the day. We are working alongside their team to minimize disruption to teaching and learning
• Painting is expected to take approximately one month. Outside doors will be completed in the summer.

• We are in the process of re-designing our school logo. Please take a few minutes to preview the latest options and provide feedback. We would love feedback from families as well as the rest of our school community. Due to the adjustment in our painting process, we have limited time to make adjustments. Playground Expectations

Thankfully we are coming out of the cold snap! With us returning to outdoor recess, we would appreciate your support in discussing playground expectations with your child(ren). Prior to the break we were experiencing an increase in hands-on behavior and use of negative language. Teachers and staff will be reviewing expectations with students as well, to ensure a safe, respectful and caring school environment.

General expectation overview:

• Use kind hands, keep your body under control, hands and feet to yourself
• Use kind and respectful words
• Listen to your supervisor
• If someone is doing something hurtful or unkind, tell them to stop and get help from a supervisor. (Supervisors wear reflective vests at recess).
• Take turns on equipment
• Play safely on equipment. Use equipment with whih you are comfortable.
• When playing games such as soccer, follow the rules so everyone can enjoy the game.
• When the bell rings, quickly line up so you are ready to enter the school.
• Have fun!
