What an exciting week! Not only did we have the amazing field trip to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, but Family Literacy Night as well! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who supported us in both events! We can't have these experiences without you!

Fair Entry - Subsidy Application Process

Fair Entry is an application process for subsidized City of Calgary programs and services. This process will assess your income eligibility for multiple City programs with a single application. Just recently, High-Speed Low-Cost Internet and other telecom services have been added to the list of services available through Fair Entry.

New Website Launch

CBE school websites are getting a facelift! Our current website is now 'frozen' for changes while this transition occurs. The new site address will be sent out in the next Bulletin.

Valentine's Day: Dress in red/pink/white! Celebrate caring!

We know that many families like to celebrate Valentine's Day by bringing Valentine's day cards and treats for their classmates. While we support generosity, it is not a requirement and we ask families to follow a few guidelines:

• Valentine's cards can be a great way to practice fine motor skills by printing student names and possibly cutting and decorating home made cards
  • If you are bringing cards, we ask that you include ALL students in the class
• We are only able to accept pre-packaged nut-free items (not homemade)
  • If treats are sent, they will be sent home at end of day so that families can decide if/when their child can eat the treats

Teachers' & Staff Association Convention – February 15-16 – No school for students

Our staff will be attending their annual Professional Development sessions at the Teachers' and Staff Association this Thursday and Friday. Sessions range in topics so that staff can build their capacity through personalized learning. We look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday February 20th, 2024.

Family Day – February 19 – School Closed

We wish you all a wonderful family day. Family is such an important foundation and we hope you all get to spend quality time with yours on this day, possibly reading, getting outside or playing games together. See you on Tuesday February 20!
