Winter Concert 

The weather has become snowy and while not overly chilly, it means it is the time of year for our Winter Concert! Classes have been preparing wonderful songs, poems and videos to present to families this week. A few notes: 

  • We will have 2 performances open to families, 10am and 6pm 
  • The shows are identical so please choose the one that best fits your needs. 
  • For the evening performance 
    • Doors open at 5:45 pm 
    • Students go to their classrooms, families directly to the gym 
    • School Council will be hosting a raffle, please bring cash if you wish to participate 
    • Students are encouraged to dress more formally than usual, this is not a requirement 
    • After the concert, students will be picked up at their classrooms 
    • Please plan to stay for the entire concert 

 

Gaga Pit 

 

A massive thank you to School Council for both generously providing and installing our new Gaga Pit. What is Gaga you ask? Check out the video for 'rotation' style play that we will be following at school. Gaga is a game that all our students can play that promotes fair play, physical activity and loads of fun!

Dress up Days 

The last week of school is full of learning until the last moment. Attendance is key throughout the school year for the maximum success of students and this week is no exception. To add a little extra fun into these last days, we will have a daily theme for dress up. This is not mandatory. Many students and staff enjoy finding creative ways to add cheer and the comfort of PJ's on that last day is especially well received:)

  • Coded Minds in the Learning Commons after school 

Wednesday, December 11 

  • Coded Minds in the Learning Commons before and after school 
  • 10:00 am – Winter Concert Daytime performance 
  • 6:00 pm – Winter Concert performance 

Thursday, December 12 

  • Sherwood Winter Showcase 
    • All Grade 2 & 3 students attending

  • Dress up days next week include: Holiday/Winter socks, Red & Green day, Holiday/Winter Hats, Holiday/Winter Shirts/Sweaters, Pajama Day 
  • December 20 – Last Day of Classes 
  • December 23-Jan 3- Happy Holiday Break
