Hello families, Family STEAM Night We have been busy preparing for creativity, experiments, robotics, building and design challenges! We hope all families will join us this Thursday, April 17th, 2025 @6:00-7:00pm to build their Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math understanding. Safety Reminders With the Spring weather moving in, it is so wonderful to see many students and families walking, scooting or riding to school. The roads around the school can get quite congested both before and after school. Student safety is our number 1 responsibility and we would like to remind drivers of the following:
Garden Cleanup The front of our school is a beautiful learning space for our students. There is a amphitheatre 'classroom' and a variety of beautiful trees. We do also have a few areas that can grow annuals such as the beautiful sunflowers you many have seen in previous years. In order to get this space reading for the growing season, School Council is looking for volunteers! Who: all families are invited and children are welcome to join and help or play on the playground When: May 3rd, 2025 @1pm. Where: the learning space in the front of the school What: Please bring a picnic lunch/snacks and some gardening tools and gloves On April 28th, the Federal Election will be happening and our school has been selected as a voting station. Voters will have access to the office side of our double doors. Our students will remain on the Learning Commons side of the double doors and if they need to go to the office they will be escorted by a staff member. We request extra patience that day as we adapt to these changes. Soccer Game CBE and Cavalry FC are excited to announce the second annual CBE x Cavalry FC match on Saturday, May 25th at 3:00 PM, featuring the Cavalry Football Club Student Game and School Fundraiser Day. Each $35 ticket includes taxes and fees, with $3.50 from every ticket sold donated to your school. Schools that purchase fewer than $50 worth of tickets will have their donations pooled and contributed to Education Matters, CBE's Trust. To purchase tickets please see the link above. This event is open to all CBE students, parents, and staff, and includes free parking, fun activities for students before the match, seating in the family section (Section 101, an alcohol-free zone), a Cavalry FC pencil case, one water, and one hot dog per ticket. By purchasing a ticket, your school will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Cavalry FC prize, including a scarf, jersey, and player visit.
