Motherhood comes in many forms, and each one is critical to the well-being of our students. Thank you for the countless hours you spend encouraging, teaching, caring and supporting our students. We hope you have an amazing day in recognition of all you do!
Evergreen Theatre Learning
We are excited to welcome Evergreen Theatre to our school this week. Their team will be working with each classroom to design a unique performance building on a variety of curricular outcomes. Thank you to School Council for generously providing the funding for this amazing learning experience.
As a culmination of this program, we will be hosting a final performance at 1:30 pm on May 16th, 2024. Families are welcome to attend.
Sunflower Planting
We are thrilled to be teaming with the Community Garden! As a kickoff, they will be joining us on Monday to help each student learn about gardening and to plant their own sunflower plant. Later, students will be getting a tour of the Community Garden and having an opportunity as a class to plant in the Banting and Best garden bed. Gratitude to School Council for funding this and to the many volunteers who work to create this amazing space for the community.
Behaviour Expectations
At Banting and Best School, we value having a welcoming, safe, respectful and caring community. We work alongside our students to build an understanding of how these concepts are the responsibility of all members of our school community. As the weather changes, and summer grows nearer, we would appreciate families having a conversation with their child(ren) to review ways each student can contribute to making our school the best place it can be. Reading stories, sharing personal experiences and discussing with children the impact kind actions can have on others are great ways to foster positive interactions at school. It truly takes a village and we are so grateful for the contributions families make to our amazing school.
